Kia ora Parents/whānau,

Welcome back to the Junior class. Trust everyone had a fun and relaxing break and now it’s back to a new year of learning, fun and friendships.

I’m super excited to be your child’s new teacher and look forward to getting to know them and to meeting and working alongside you this year. I will let you know as soon as possible important information, requirements and dates.

A little about me; I was born & raised in Tauranga. I’ve lived in numerous locations in New Zealand and overseas, travelling far and wide and have enjoyed  a variety of careers.  I have a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning and have spent time teaching at various Primary and Intermediate schools throughout Nelson.

I have three children. Conor (20) lives in Auckland and is in his final year of a degree in Recording Arts, Flynn (17) is taking a gap year and working in Nelson and Sinead (16) attends Nelson College for Girls. We have lived in Nelson for 13 years.

When I’m not in the classroom, we spend our time as a family walking, biking, and exploring but most of all we love swimming and spending time at the beach.

I am passionate about anything to do with art. I paint, draw and create whenever I can. I am fascinated about history, spending time in libraries and museums and love researching and delving into the mysteries and stories from of my own family genealogy. Of course nothing beats reading a great book!

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year you can either meet with me face to face, email me at [email protected] or phone the school office and leave a message and I will call you back.

There is no issue to big or small and communication is essential to provide the best educational opportunities for your child.
